My footprint in paine

Day 01: Punta Arenas Airport – Puerto Natales

Reception at Punta Arenas ‘airport. Transfer to the city for taking the regular bus to Puerto Natales city (153 miles. / 3 hours of trip). Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 02: Active Paine – Full Day

Breakfast. Departure from your Hotel around 08:00 am. We are heading towards Torres del Paine National Park. First stop will be at Cerro Castillo village. Then we continuine towards the viewpoint of Lake Sarmiento, hopefully spotting some Guanacos & ñandues. We will go towards to Laguna Azul viewpoint . The best spot to see the 3 famous granite towers. Later we heading to Cascada Paine, just a few minutes to enter in the Torres del Paine National Park and pay the entrance tickets ( not included), where we have another great viewpoint of the Torres del Paine and the Massif Paine. This first hike starts at Laguna Amarga Range station, and ends at Lago Sarmiento Ranger station. It is very good spotting for observing animal such as Guanacos, Pumas, Condor and different species of birds. We can also observe a small cave and rock paintings. We continue our tour towards the astonishing Lake  Nordenskjöld, the pristine Lake Pehoe . The second hike (1 hour) starts in Pudeto, passing close to the Salto Grande, a big waterfall that delivers the water from Lake Nordenskjold to Lake Pehoe. Then the trail continues until you get a closer view of the Cuernos (Paine Horns). Then we continue our journey to the sector of Lake Pehoe to enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the lake and Paine massif. A lunch box is included on the service. At the end transfer to Hotel in Torres del Paine NP. Accommodation.

Day 03:  Base of the Towers-  Trekking

Breakfast. Early in the morning transfer to Towers sector, for starting the trekking to the base of the Towers, developed on well marked hiking trails, with slopes that raise a difficulty to «medium high».  This a particular challenge for thousands of visitors who are waiting with bated breath to see a show that they never forget. Colossal monuments carved in granite by the force of nature. A «box lunch» type is included in the service. The walk has a 7 to 8 hours duration round trip. At the end, transfer to the Hotel in Torres del Paine National Park. Accommodation.

Day 04: Navigation and Ice hike on Grey Glacier

Breakfast. The hotel will provide you a «lunch box» to take away. Transfer to Grey Lake sector for starting a boat trip to «Refugio Grey» and join the expedition guides. The first part of the trip is on speedboat in order to get closer the island (called «islatak») and walk for around 1 hour until reach the ice in a more secure way. Here the guides will perform a briefing, explaining the route, the time it will take and also testing and adjusting the full equipment of each passenger (ice ax, crampons, helmet and harness) . Once be ready passengers can begin the unique adventure of hiking on ice for about 2.5 hours observing cracks, rivers, lagoons and tunnels. At the end we return to the refuge for taking the boat and finally the transportation to your hotel in PN Torres del Paine. Accommodation.

Day 05: Torres del Paine NP – Airport

Breakfast. In schedule to be coordinated, transfer from hotel in the park to bus terminal in Puerto Natales for taking the regular coach toward Punta Arenas’ Airport (2 hours and 40 minutes of travel approximately).
