Itinerary

Departure from your hotel to the Milodon Cave located 24 kilometers north of Puerto Natales. Before reaching the cave, the access path passes by the “Silla del Diablo” (Devil’s Chair), a name that comes from the popular imagination given to a rocky structure that looks like an armchair and which is said to have been the “seat” of the Mylodon and which legend has transformed into the “devil”.At the end of the visit, we will continue along the new access road to Torres del Paine National Park, where we will be able to observe lagoons and mountain ranges along the way. Then, it is possible to admire the beautiful landscape around us from the Lago Grey viewpoint (view of the Grey Glacier, the Paine Massif and Lago del Toro). A couple of kilometers ahead, it is possible to observe the Cuernos del Paine, reaching the fork that leads to the Lake Grey area. In this sector we will be able to make a pleasant walk along the shore of Grey Lake and if the conditions help us, it is possible to access the viewpoint of Grey Peninsula.

Back in the parking lot of the Nursery, we take the route to a restaurant located inside the park to take a moment to rest with the option of lunch. (Lunch not included in the rate). At the end of this refreshing break, we started the second stage of our visit to Torres del Paine National Park heading for the Salto Grande sector. We will visit the Nordenskjold Lake Viewpoint and continue to enjoy various views on our undulating route that gradually brings us closer to the Laguna Amarga sector. After admiring this pleasing spectacle we will return to the city of Puerto Natales passing by the Mirador del Lago Sarmiento, arriving in the late afternoon and bringing with us an unforgettable experience.

Frequent questions

Does the tour runs all year around?

Yes anytime of the year, however there are some restrictions during Winter time, due to the lack of light or weather conditions. We recommend travelling between August and May. Tours are not cancelled by wind or rain.

What kind of vehicles are used?

It will depend on the amount of passengers in the tour, therefore a 9-passengers-van or a 30-passengers-bus can be used.

Are there lunch options during tour ?

The tour stops at the restaurants in Torres del Paine National Park for around 1 hour, where passengers can buy menus or sandwiches available. We recommend to bring cash (in case of credit card devices are not operating). The passenger can also bring their own lunch from Puerto Natales which can be consumed on the vehicle or in the areas indicated by guides.

Is it possible to see the famous “Towers during the tour?

The three peaks known as “Torres del Paine”, “Los Cuernos del Paine”, and the rest of the mountainous massif can be seen with a panoramic view from different lookouts where the tour stops. The tour goes through the 60 kilometers of road inside the park which is located in front of the massif where is possible to admire the peaks. The visibility will depend on the cloudy condition.

The tour does not  visit the “Towers”, and can be seen see them in a panoramic view, as mentioned previously.  For visiting them is necessary the “Trekking Base las Torres” or “W Circuit”.
