Itinerary:

Passengers must be at 07:30 am at Turismo 21 de Mayo office located at Eberhard # 560, Puerto Natales. From the office passengers are transferred to local wharf . First part of sailing is along Señoret Channel and then by Ultima Esperanza fjord heading to Balmaceda Mount, where is possible to observe Puerto Bories, Isla Guanaco, and Cormorants and Sea Lions colonies and also Toninas (Magellan Dolphins), Waterfalls and Condor cliffs . From the boat passengers are able to see the Balmaceda Glacier. The first disembarking is at Puerto Toro in Bernardo O´Higgins National Park where is possible to observe the Serrano Glacier. Optionally passengers can do a short and easy walk (1 hour round trip) to get closer the glacier. At the return the guides of zodiacs (speedboats) will be waiting for passengers for giving all needed information about safety, route of sailing and will provide the navigation personal equipment to each passenger. Afterward passengers will enjoy a exquisite lunch.

Later on begins the sailing by the up streams of Rio Serrano (24 miles long) that connect fjord with Torres del Paine National Park.  This river is feeded by the thaws of Grey, Tyndall, Geike and Balmaceda Glaciers

If we are lucky here we will see the Baqueano Marin who has lived like a hermit for many decades at the river shores. Then is possible to observe the Tyndall glacier (part of Southern Ice Fields). Later on passenger must take their zodiacs and walk by around 15 minutes in middle of native forest for continuing the trip toward the final destination: Torres del Paine National Park.

It should be noted that this excursion can also be done in reverse, leaving the Torres del Paine National Park at 9:00 am and arriving at Puerto Natales between 4:30 pm.to 5:30 pm approximately.

Does the navigation runs on mentioned season only?

Yes , on season only , due to the water conditions of the Serrano River whose volume allows good navigation in the indicated period.

What does the lunch includes?

The lunch includes soup, salmon , salad, dessert, wine or drinks. There is a vegetarian option which you have to ask for when you make your reservation.

What kind of ship is used for navigation?

First part of trip is carried out in a yacht/motor,  all of them with panoramic decks in order to enjoy the landscape and it has the capacity of 50 to 80 passengers approximately. Second part of trip is on “zodiacs” (uncovered speed boats) .

What happens if navigation is cancelled due to bad weather conditions?

The navigation is subject to weather conditions; therefore it can be cancelled before or during the trip. In this case the operator company offers an alternative land excursion , or a part of the fee or the entire amount of money will be refund depending on the case
