Itinerary:
An excursion that joins two of the three accesses that has the Torres del Paine National Park allowing to visit a little known and very attractive perspective for the observation of fauna. Its scenic environment is definitely a place worth exploring.
At the moment of entering the park by the goal Lago Sarmiento we will begin our path with a gentle inclination with side view of the imposing Lake Sarmiento adjoining with private land, habitual hunting area for the largest predator of the region, the Puma. Species found in the Torres Del Paine to its main source of food, the Guanaco. After an hour of walking we will arrive to an eave where it is possible to observe a series of cave paintings with a data that exceeds the 6,000 years of antiquity, place frequented by groups of hunters known as one of the first populations that reached the Patagonia. In this site we will be able to photograph the surroundings and to know a little more of the local history. The activity continues in the direction of Laguna eggs, place of nesting and feeding of different species of endemic birds of the Patagonia like ducks, caiquenes and swans of black neck always with frontal view towards the Cordillera Paine.
After 3 hours of walking we will reach the main access of the Torres del Paine National Park: Laguna Amarga goal. After a detention for the use of services we will return to the vehicle to go to a little known sector where the milky waters of the Paine River coming from the Dickson glacier increase its flow with great concentration of minerals and sediments, we We refer to the Paine waterfall. In this place we will have free time to enjoy our box lunch with a frontal view towards the granite towers between shrubs of Ñirre. The journey continues towards Macho Canyon, where it is possible to observe large groups of guanacos that coexist with species such as Rhea, Fox, Condor, among others.
Although it is an medium exigence excursion, the children are the sole responsibility of the parents.
