Full Day Paine and Milodón

Ideal trip for passengers who do not have much time in the region, admiring all the beauty of the National Park.

From Punta Arenas

Itinerary:

The day begins early with picking up of passengers at their respective places of accommodations to start a 3 hours trip towards the city of Puerto Natales, to observe its coastline and charge fuel. Firstly we visit the «Milodon´s Cave » Natural Monument, a huge cavern 656 ft deep, 262 ft wide and 98 ft high, site where the remains of this ancient animal were founds. We can also observe the «Silla Del Diablo» (Devil´s Chair) a curious rock formation.

Later on , we are going to stop in one of the coffee shops in Cerro Castillo Village, where passengers can get all they need to continue the trip to our final destination, Torres del Paine National Park.

Before getting to the park we will stop in some look-out points as Lago Sarmiento and Laguna Amarga where is possible to observe the mythicals Torres Del Paine. Once in the park we will visit all main spots such as the Mirador Nordenskjöld. Then a short walk of around 20 minutes will take us to Salto Grande , an impressive and voluminous waterfall that connects the Nordenskjöld and Pehoe lakes with a beautiful view of the Cuernos del Paine. Back on the main road we will have the opportunity of capturing the most spectacular photo of the day, the Lake Pehoe. From this point we continue towards Lake Grey. After crossing a hanging bridge we will get to its beach where icebergs from the glacier die on the shore of the lake. These ancient ice will be the perfect accompaniment to the final toast of this magnificent journey. After that, it will begin the return trip to Punta Arenas.

SEPT 2020 to APRIL 2021: Daily departures (except December 24- 25 and January 01) .No minimum passengers.

Rest of the year: Programmed departures to be confirmed.

• During winter season mentioned times might be modified. It will be informed.

Frequent questions

Is this tour carried out during the whole year?

Indeed it is carry out during the whole year. There are restrictions during winter time, due to the lights hours, and weather conditions. It is recommended to take the tour between August and May. The tours will not be suspended by cloudy, windy or rainy weather.

In what kind of vehicles are the tours carried out?

The vehicules used will depend on the amount of passengers. Thus it can be done in a van for 9 passengers or in a bus for 30 passengers.

Which are the lunch options?

Due to the long hours trips, and in order to take advantage of our time in the park, we cannot stop at park restaurants, therefore the passengers have to bring their own lunch or snack from Punta Arenas to be served in a camping zone or in the vehicles.

It is possible to see or visit the “ Torres del Paine ?

The three peaks know as “Torres del Paine”, “los Cuernos del Paine”, and the rest of the mountainous massif is observed from different lookouts as a panoramic view where the tour stops , being 12 miles the average distance, yet its vastness allows a full view. The tour goes through 37 miles inside the park which allows you to be in front of the massif, although the visibility might be affected by a cloudy weather.

The tour does not goes specifically to “Torres del Paine”, and only can be observed in a panoramic way as previously pointed. In order to visit or get there you need to go by trekking “Base las Torres” or “W Circuit”.
