Depart from your hotel in Puerto Natales heading north along a route bordering Ultima Esperanza Bay for a few kilometers. After crossing through plains and forests we will reach the so-called “Silla del Diablo” (Devil´s Seat) a strange natural rock formation 30 meters high, and then the entrance to the Natural Monument “Milodon Cave”. Here we will visit the museum and take a short 250 meters hike to the huge 200 meters deep cavern where remains of prehistoric animals have been found.

Later on we will take the main road for a short stop in some of the coffee shop located in Cerro Castillo Village (Border with Argentina) and then we will continue our journey up to the lookout over “Sarmiento Lake” with an imposing view of the Paine Massif. Here it will be possible to see wildlife such as guanacos, condors and rheas. After, we will stop at Laguna Amarga (Bitter Lagoon) where you will find one of the best views of the majestic “Torres del Paine”.

Afterward our vehicle will stop at the viewpoint overlooking “Los Lagos” (The Lakes), where we can admire their different colors. Later on, after an easy 400 meters walk, we will arrive to “Salto Grande” a mighty waterfall. Later on skirting the “Pehoé Lake” we will go to “Lake Grey” where at times it’s possible to observe some of the few “huemules” that inhabit the area. After crossing a hanging bridge we will begin a 10 minute walk through native forest to reach the long beach of this magnificent lake to admire the huge icebergs that have broken off from the glacier.

Later, depending of requests, we will return to Puerto Natales by the same route or by the new road.

Frequent questions

Does the tour runs all year around?

Yes anytime of the year, however there are some restrictions during Winter time, due to the lack of light or weather conditions. We recommend travelling between August and May. Tours are not cancelled by wind or rain.

What kind of vehicles are used?

It will depend on the amount of passengers in the tour, therefore a 9-passengers-van or a 30-passengers-bus can be used.

Are there lunch options during tour ?

The tour stops at the restaurants in Torres del Paine National Park for around 1 hour, where passengers can buy menus or sandwiches available. We recommend to bring cash (in case of credit card devices are not operating). The passenger can also bring their own lunch from Puerto Natales which can be consumed on the vehicle or in the areas indicated by guides.

Is it possible to see the famous “Towers during the tour?

The three peaks known as “Torres del Paine”, “Los Cuernos del Paine”, and the rest of the mountainous massif can be seen with a panoramic view from different lookouts where the tour stops. The tour goes through the 60 kilometers of road inside the park which is located in front of the massif where is possible to admire the peaks. The visibility will depend on the cloudy condition.

The tour does not  visit the “Towers”, and can be seen see them in a panoramic view, as mentioned previously.  For visiting them is necessary the “Trekking Base las Torres” or “W Circuit”.
