Early morning pick up at hotels and transfer to “Tres Puentes” terminal for boarding the Ferry “Crux Australis” and cross the famous Strait of Magellan towards mythical Tierra del Fuego Island . After just over 2 hours of sailing we arrive at “Bahia Chilota” and from there we continue for around 3 miles, until arrive to “Porvenir” , capital city of the province of Tierra del Fuego. We will visit its square, its coastline, its small but interesting museum and the lookout of the city also.
Later on we will start our trip to King Penguin Park located 70 miles east the city of Porvenir. The trip takes around 1 hour bordering Bahia Inutil (Useless Bay). The park is a unique sighting place where is possible to observe about 40 individuals of this specie a short distance. After 1 hour in this place we continue our journey watching from the road Estancia Josefina, one of the most important cattle ranches of the island.
We are going to visit Cerro Sombrero village also. Finally we cross the Strait of Magellan again for its narrowest part (Primera Angostura, 20 minutes of sailing only). Depending on travel dates, times and hours of light we can stop at Estancia San Gregorio, one of the oldest and most historical cattle ranches of the region. The return to Punta Arenas is estimated between 21:00 hrs and 22:30 hrs

OCTOBER 2019 up to MARCH 2020 : Daily departures from Tuesday to Sunday only (Except 24, 25 of December and 1st of January)
On June 2019, King Penguin Park will be closed for maintenance
• Pick up at hotels: Tuesday to Saturday: 7:00 – 7:30 am and Sundays: 7:30 – 8:00 am / Returns : 8:00 – 9:30 pm approx.
• During winter season mentioned times might be modified. It will be informed.
Pick up and drop off at hotels, shared transportation, ferry tickets, english speaking driver-guide or guide, museum entrance.
Lunch, King Penguin Park entrance fee : $12.000 (Cash and Chilean currency only) / Children up to 10 years old: free.
Is this tour carried out during the whole year?
Indeed the tour could be carried out all the year depending on the demand and climatic conditions.
It operates only from Tuesday to Sunday, since on Mondays one of the ferries necessary for crossing the strait does not sail. It is recommended to do it between August and May mainly.
In what kind of vehicles are the tours carried out?
The vehicles used will depend on the amount of passengers. Thus it can be done in a wan for 9 passengers or in a bus for 19 passengers.
Which are the lunch options?
Due to the long hours trips, and in order to take advantage of our time on the tour, we recommend you to bring the own lunch or snack from Punta Arenas to be served during the trip.
The operation of the service is subject in some occasions to the schedules of the ferry, which might be modified by the shipping company which can lead to modifications of the route or cancellations due to climatic conditions.
